Family Involvement Group (FIG)

Plan and coordinate quarterly social events aimed at increasing social involvement and networking within the South Loop Elementary School community through Family Fun Nights & much more.

FIG Events: South Loop Around the World, Fall Festival, Literacy Night, Math Night, School Winter Dances

South Loop Elementary School Dads’ Club

The South Loop Elementary School Dad’s Club is a service and fundraising organization that brings together the fathers of our South Loop School students to organize and sponsor fundraising activities with a “manly” twist. The Dads probably have a bit of social fun while they are at it as well!

Kindergarten Picnic

Assist in planning and staffing the annual kindergarten picnic, where current kindergarten students & families welcome incoming kindergarten students & families to South Loop School.

Kindergarten Transition Ceremony

Assist the teachers in coordinating the ceremony & organizing the potluck lunch buffet. June 11, 2012

Back to School Picnic

Assist in planning and staffing the annual picnic. This is a great opportunity for families and staff to mingle and have fun at the school playground and/or gym at the Main Building.

End of Year School PBIS Carnival

Assist in planning and staffing the annual carnival to reward students for following the South Loop Way throughout the school year.

Yearbook

A venture that begins at the onset of the school year and continues throughout the year, concluding in June with sales & distribution. Photographers, Design & Layout Team and Organizational Support are central to its success. Volunteers this year will work with students in the Beta Club and Journalism Club. Help make your student's yearbook memorable.
