Tuition-Based Preschool
The School Tuition-Based Preschool Program is an affordable, full-day education and child care program for preschool children ages three or four. It provides children with the necessary foundation to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.
The center encourages independent learning and promotes cognitive development, and fosters a love of lifelong learning. The teachers and staff facilitate learning by providing the children with concrete learning experiences.
The preschool is housed at the Elementary School Branch building at 1915 S. Federal Street in Chicago.
Registration Information
Program Information:
- This is a Tuition-Based Preschool (TBP) is not grant funded, therefore, it requires tuition payments for all children attending the program.
- Busing is not available.
- Half-day (8:00am - 2:30pm) and Full-day (8:00am - 6:00pm) programs are offered.
Program Eligibility:
- Children must be at least three years of age but not yet five on or before September 1st of the current school year.
- Families must reside within District 299 boundaries in the City of Chicago.
- Parents must agree to sign a one-year program agreement.
- Tuition is required in advance of service with a non-refundable deposit at time of registration.
Required Documents/Forms:
- Child's birth certificate
- Complete physical exam with required lab work
- Up-to-date immunization record (shot card)
- Completed CPS Preschool Application
- Completed CPS Parent Agreement Form
