Lend Your Voice to the CPS Arts Education Plan!

This past month the Chicago Public Schools, supported by Ingenuity Incorporated, and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events announced the groundbreaking creation of the first district-wide CPS Arts Education Plan.

David Vitale, President of the Board of Education shared that CPS would launch a public planning process to gather public feedback towards setting standards and policies for improving and expanding arts programs across Chicago Public Schools.  Now we want you to be involved.

Whether you are a principal, teacher, parent, student, artist, or cultural organization-over the next few weeks we will be seeking your input to start Chicago Public Schools down the path of becoming one of the most creative and innovative school districts in the nation-one with classrooms teeming with the arts.

Community Engagement Sessions have now been set for all audience groups and the planning process will move quickly.  Go to the CPS Arts Plan website to register for a public forum  and learn how you can add your voice to this plan (see session dates/information below). Visit Ingenuity Incorporated to learn how you can become involved in improving the educational experiences of our public school children.
