Spotlight Teacher of the Month
Lisa Martin – School Librarian
We are please to announce our very own Ms. Martin is the recipient of the prestigious D.R.I.V.E. award (Delivering Results through Innovative and Visionary Education). Ms. Martin was selected to be a part of Mr. Arne Duncan’s round table advisory council for the next year. She is one of 23 teachers selected from over 300 finalists. The round table was designed to provide Mr. Duncan with feedback from a teacher’s perspective regarding initiatives and programming throughout the Chicago Public School system.
Ms. Martin was nominated by our former Spanish teacher, Ms. Castillo for her outstanding work and dedication to our children. We are very proud of Ms. Martin and know that the advisory council will truly benefit from her outstanding ability to model the South Loop Way.
