Music Classroom Materials
All 4th-8th Grade students will be required to have the following materials during their general music/choral class:
· Folder
· Paper (loose leaf or notebook)
· Pencil (NO PENS Please)
· Students will be responsible for any handouts or music materials given to them
· Recorders - $3.00 (4th-5th Grade students only - Purchase Date TBA)
Performances Attire
All 4th-8th grade general music students will be required to wear the following Concert Attire:
· Black bottoms (slacks or skirts)
· White tops (button down or blouse)
· Black dress shoes
· Black Socks or stockings
· South Loop Choir Vest (provided by school)
BAND CLASSROOM and PERFORMANCE MATERIALS
5th-8th grade band students: $50 band fee (includes use of school owned instrument, book, music, supplies and band polo shirt). Students that own their instruments or are renting from an outside service the mandatory band fee is $25.00 (includes book, music, supplies, and band polo shirt). ALL SOUTH LOOP INSTRUMENTS WILL BE SIGNED OUT ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS (beginning on the 2nd week of September).
4th grade band students will need to rent their instruments from an outside service. Students that own their instruments or are renting from an outside service: $25 band fee (includes book, music, supplies, and band polo shirt).
All band members MUST ATTEND ALL CONCERTS/PERFORMANCES AND BE DRESSED IN CONCERT ATTIRE: black pants/skirts, white dress shirts and black shoes. NO JEANS OR GYM SHOES.

Parents please purchase these materials and uniforms before the start of the year. These materials are very important to your child's success in music education. Any child not dressed in concert attire will not be allowed to perform during concerts. Thank you for you cooperation and continued support of the South Loop Fine and Performing Arts Department.
